With several events planned throughout the city, the Saint John Police are encouraging everyone to take simple precautions to ensure a fun and safe celebration for all.
Please consider the following safety tips in preparation for the festivities:
- Plan ahead to arrange a safe ride home if you plan to consume alcohol or cannabis. Never drive impaired.
- Be mindful in crowds. Keep an eye on children in busy areas and set a meeting spot in case you get separated.
- Respect noise bylaws for designated hours.
- Secure your belongings, lock your vehicle, and avoid leaving valuables in plain sight.
- Celebrate responsibly. Look out for one another and do not hesitate to report any suspicious activity to police.
