Arrest in Theft of Motor Vehicle

The Saint John Police have arrested a 46-year-old man for theft of a motor vehicle.

It is reported that:

On Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at approximately 12:42 p.m., police responded to theft of a Honda Civic from City Road.

The vehicle had allegedly been stolen from a parking lot while the owner was at work.

At approximately 9:45 p.m., an officer on patrol located the stolen vehicle parked in an underground parking lot on Prince Edward Street.

A 46-year-old man was found asleep inside the vehicle and he was arrested for theft of a motor vehicle. He was later released from custody to appear in court on September 28, 2023.
