Healthy Me is a school-based program implemented in 2023 and is being delivered to grade 6 students by Neighbourhood Officers. The program was designed in 2016 by Charlottetown Police in partnership with youth workers and students to address various issues that students encounter. It has been presented and approved by the Anglophone South School District and Centre scolaire Samuel-de-Champlain. The four lessons delivered during the program include:
- Who Am I (values and what influences them, peer pressure, self-reliance, etc.)
- Coping Skills (dealing with obstacles, handling negative emotions, positive coping mechanisms, etc.)
- Unhealthy Coping (vaping, tobacco, alcohol, drugs, etc.)
- Cyberworld (dangers of social media, sharing photos, “think before you post”, etc.)
