The Saint John Police are proud to launch our fourth annual Holiday in a Box Campaign.
Our third annual campaign collected 575 holiday boxes and 65 gift cards. It was such a great success that our priority neighbourhoods in Saint John are once again teaming up with the Saint John Police to provide some holiday cheer for less fortunate adults in our community. The goal is to find a shoebox or similar sized box and fill it with essentials as a gift to someone in need.
“We are challenging Saint John residents, sports teams, businesses and community organizations to fill as many shoeboxes as possible. This is a small and kind gesture of generosity for those adults who are often forgotten during the holiday season.” Chief R.M. Bruce
Once collected, the boxes will be wrapped and presented to the representatives of each of our five priority neighbourhoods including the Crescent Valley Resource Centre, Carleton Community Centre, P.U.L.S.E. Inc., ONE Change, and the Waterloo Village Neighbourhood Association.
Boxes can be filled with day-to-day essentials that we often take for granted. Some suggestions include toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap, socks, gloves, toques, transit and gift cards. For a full list of ideas, please visit: Holiday in a Box | Saint John Police Force
The holiday boxes can be dropped off at the Saint John Police Headquarters at 1 Peel Plaza, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
The campaign will conclude on December 12, 2024.
Together a safe, secure, healthy community
