Arrest for Impaired Driving Following Collision – Rothesay Avenue

The Saint John Police has arrested a 28-year-old man for impaired driving following a collision on Rothesay Avenue.

It is reported that:

On Saturday, March 11, 2023, at approximately 1:13 a.m., a 911 caller reported that a vehicle was driving at a high rate of speed, failed to stop at a red light, and then collided with a utility pole on Rothesay Avenue at Ashburn Lake Road.

Officers arrived at the scene of the single vehicle collision to locate a 28-year-old man in the driver’s seat of a Toyota Corolla. He was treated and released at the scene by paramedics.

The driver was then arrested for impaired driving and later released from custody to appear in court at a later date.
