The Saint John Police Family Protection Unit have made an arrest in relation to an aggravated sexual assault investigation on a minor.
It is reported that:
On January 15, 2026, at approximately 1:30 p.m. police responded to a call from the hospital regarding a person under the age of 16 years old who had sustained injuries. As a result, an investigation was started by the Family Protection Unit.
On March 19, 2026, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a 36-year-old male was arrested by the Saint John police without incident at an address in Kingston Peninsula for aggravated sexual assault, sexual interference, forcible confinement, and assault causing bodily harm.
The suspect was held in custody and will appear in court on March 20, 2026, to answer to the charges in connection with this incident.
