Arrest in Armed Robbery Investigation – North End

The Saint John Police have arrested a 46-year-old man in connection with an armed robbery.

It is reported that:

On Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at approximately 12:07 a.m., a suspect entered a hotel in the North End and attempted to rob staff while armed with a weapon.

The suspect then fled the hotel on foot. Officers in the area located a 46-year-old man nearby and arrested him for robbery.

The accused appeared in court and he has been remanded to jail. He is scheduled to return to court on Thursday, January 11, 2024, for a bail hearing.

Forensic Services and the Major Crime Unit continue to investigate. No physical injuries were reported.
