Arrest in Break and Enter Investigation

The Saint John Police have arrested a 44-year-old man following a commercial break and enter.

It is reported that:

On Sunday, June 23, 2024, at approximately 3:12 a.m., police responded to an alarm call at a business in the 1200-block of Sandy Point Road.

It was alleged that the alarm was triggered by an individual who was inside the location and did not have the proper code to deactivate the alarm.

Police arrived on scene and entered the business. A male was located inside and taken into custody without incident.

There were no damages reported in relation to the building and, due to a quick response and apprehension of the suspect there was nothing reported stolen.

The accused was later released from custody on an undertaking with conditions including to appear in court on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.
