Arrest in Break and Enter – Leinster Street

The Saint John Police have arrested a 37-year-old man following a residential break and enter.

It is reported that:

On Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at approximately 6:34 p.m., police responded to a report of a man breaking into an apartment in the 200-block of Leinster Street.

It was alleged that the suspect had forcefully gained access to the residence. The owner of the residence was not home at the time of the incident.

Police quickly responded and surrounded the location. A 37-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene without further incident. There were damages reported in relation to the apartment but, due to a quick response and apprehension of the suspect there was nothing reported stolen.

The accused was later released from custody on an undertaking with conditions including to appear in court on Thursday, July 04, 2024.
