Arrest in Break and Enter – Millidge Ave

The Saint John Police have arrested a 29-year-old man following a residential break and enter.
It is reported that:
On Sunday, October 20, 2024, at approximately 12:05 p.m., police responded to a report of a man breaking into a residence in the 500-block of Millidge Avenue.
It was alleged that the homeowner was away but could see someone on their home camera in their living room.
Police quickly arrived on scene and could hear a noise from within the residence. As officers approached the residence a male could be seen inside putting items into a bag. The male spotted the officer on scene and began running towards the back door in an attempt to flee the scene. The 29-year-old man was taken into custody a short distance away from the scene after a brief foot pursuit.
The suspect was found to have multiple outstanding arrest warrants. In addition, he was charged with break and enter and resisting arrest. The accused was held in custody and is scheduled for a bail hearing on October 24, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
