Arrest in Break and Enter – Rothesay Avenue

The Saint John Police have arrested a 46-year-old man for a break and enter that occurred at a restaurant on Rothesay Avenue. 

It is reported that: 

On August 8, 2026, shortly after 2:00 a.m., police were called to a break and enter in progress at a restaurant on Rothesay Avenue.  

It was reported that the business alarm was activated, and a suspect was observed remotely on video surveillance inside the restaurant. 

Police arrived on scene to locate the 46-year-old suspect inside the restaurant who attempted to flee from police. He failed to follow commands while armed with a weapon. As a result, a taser was successfully deployed and the suspect was arrested for break and enter as well as breach of a court order.  

The accused remains in custody scheduled to appear in court on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
