Arrest in Drug Trafficking Investigation

The Saint John Police Street Crime Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU) have made an arrest in a drug trafficking investigation.  

On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at approximately 2:15 p.m., IEU arrested 34-year-old Kyle Hunter for possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl, possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, and possession of property obtained by proceeds of crime.  The following evidence was seized by police including, but not limited to: 

74.7 grams of a substance believed to be fentanyl 

7.4 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine 

$943.75 in Canadian currency 

6 cell phones 

2 digital scales 

The total approximate street value of seized drugs is $15, 680.00. 

Kyle Hunter appeared in provincial court on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.  His next scheduled court appearance for election and plea is Wednesday, June 25, 2025. 

The Integrated Enforcement Unit consists of police officers from the Saint John Police, Kennebecasis Regional Police Force, New Brunswick Justice and Public Safety, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
