Arrest in Drug Trafficking Investigation

The Saint John Police Street Crime Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU) have made an arrest in a drug trafficking investigation.  

On April 15, 2026, at approximately 3:16 p.m., IEU with the assistance of the Quick Reaction Team, arrested a 30-year-old male without incident from a vehicle. 

As a result of search warrants for the vehicle and a home in the area of Old Black River Road in Saint John, the following evidence was seized by police including, but not limited to: 

  • 1,120 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine 
  • $7,197 in Canadian currency 
  • Digital scales 

The total approximate street value of seized drugs is $112,000. 

The 30-year-old male was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000. He appeared in provincial court this morning, plead guilty to the charges, and received a 42-month sentence. 

The Integrated Enforcement Unit consists of police officers from the Saint John Police, Kennebecasis Regional Police Force, New Brunswick Justice and Public Safety, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
