The Saint John Police Street Crime Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU) have made an arrest in a drug trafficking investigation.
On September 4, 2026, at approximately 2:45 p.m., the IEU arrested a 49-year-old male without incident from a vehicle.
Following the arrest, the following evidence was seized by police including, but not limited to:
- $217.15 Canadian Currency
- 29 grams of cocaine (powder)
- 19 grams of cocaine (crack)
- 70 Percocet pills
- 11 Cell phones
- ASP baton
- A folding knife
The total approximate street value of seized drugs is $5,150.
The 49-year-old male was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000. He was released and will be appearing in provincial court to answer to the charges on December 3, 2026.
The IEU consists of police officers from the Saint John Police Force, Kennebecasis Regional Police Force, New Brunswick Justice and Public Safety, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
