Arrests in Stolen Vehicle Investigation

The Saint John Police arrested two 18-year-old men in possession of a stolen vehicle. 

It is reported that: 

On January 14, 2026, at approximately 7:20 p.m., a 2024 Subaru Outback was reported stolen from the area of Charlotte Street South.  

The vehicle was located by police but fled multiple times when attempts were made to conduct a traffic stop. With the assistance of the Saint John Street Crime Integrated Enforcement Unit, the vehicle was located in a parking lot off Manawagonish Road and was remotely shut off by Subaru.  

The driver was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit by police while the passenger was tracked by Police Service Dog Arlo and located in a shrink-wrapped boat at a business on Fairville Boulevard. 

The accused were both released from custody and will appear in court on April 9, 2026.
