Arrest in Traffic Stop

The Saint John Police have arrested a 39-year-old female in possession of controlled substances following a traffic stop.  

It is reported that: 

On July 8, 2026, at approximately 9:54 p.m., an officer noticed a female slumped over the wheel of a parked vehicle with the engine running on Waterloo Street. 

While speaking with the driver, the officer noted drug paraphernalia and a white substance believed to be cocaine in the vehicle. The 39-year-old female driver was placed under arrest. 

As a result of the arrest, the following evidence was seized by police including, but not limited to: 

  • 2.15 grams of a substance believed to be fentanyl 
  • 95.37 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine 
  • A cell phone 
  • Digital scales 
  • Drug paraphernalia 

The total approximate street value of seized drugs is $9,900. 

The female was charged with possession of fentanyl and possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine. She was released from police custody and will appear in provincial court on October 22, 2026.
