The Saint John Police Force has arrested a 50-year-old man for weapons offences in the area of Fairville Blvd, west in Saint John.
It is reported that:
On September 22, 2026, at approximately 01:00 a.m., police responded to a convenience store on Fairville Blvd, for a male armed with a weapon.
Police arrived on scene and located a 50-year-old male suspect assaulting the store employee. Police immediately engaged with the suspect and took him into custody.
A bystander had put themselves at risk to assist the employee prior to police arriving.
The victim was transported to the hospital as a result of their injuries and has since been released.
The accused was held in custody and will appear in Provincial court this afternoon.
