The Saint John Police Street Crime Integrated Enforcement Unit (I.E.U.) have made four arrests in a drug trafficking investigation.
On Wednesday, November 8, 2023, IEU and Patrol Services arrested four occupants of a vehicle on Lansdowne Avenue in Saint John. The following evidence was seized including, but not limited to:
4.06 grams of a substance believed to be fentanyl
2.2 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine
11 pills believed to be hydromorphone
.62 grams of a substance believed to be crack cocaine
$576.40 in Canadian currency
Two men, ages 53 and 28, and two woman, ages 34 and 29, were arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, fentanyl, and hydromorphone as well as possession of property obtained by crime.
All four accused were released on undertakings to appear in court on February 22, 2024.
The Integrated Enforcement Unit (I.E.U.) consists of officers from the Saint John Police, Kennebecasis Regional Police Force, New Brunswick Justice and Public Safety and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
