Arrests in Drug Trafficking Investigation

The Saint John Police Street Crime Integrated Enforcement Unit (I.E.U.) have made two arrests following a 2-month drug trafficking investigation.  

On January 24, 2025, the IEU arrested two individuals without incident. Following their arrest a section 11 Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant was applied for, and judicial authorization was granted for a residence within Saint John.   

As a result of the investigation, the following evidence was seized: 

  • 410 Shotgun with sawed off barrel 

  • Ammunition 

  • Multiple edged weapons 

  • 3 replica firearms 

  • 81.44 Grams of Fentanyl (street value $16,288)  

  • .56 Grams of Crystal Meth (Street value $50)  

  • 112 Hydromorphone Contin 4 MG (street value $1120) 

  • Scales 

  • Canadian Currency  

  • Drug paraphernalia  

The two accused have been remanded into custody and will appear on January 27, 2025, for a bail hearing. 

The Integrated Enforcement Unit (I.E.U.) consists of officers from the Saint John Police, Kennebecasis Regional Police Force, New Brunswick Justice and Public Safety and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.  Their mandate is to target drug trafficking, weapons and organized crime offences.
