Arrests in Drug Trafficking Investigation

The Saint John Police Street Crime Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU) have made arrests in a drug trafficking investigation.

On April 27, 2026, at approximately 2:00 p.m., IEU arrested a 37-year-old female, a 47-year-old male, a 40-year-old male, and a 48-year-old female without incident from a vehicle.

As a result of their arrests, the following evidence was seized by police including, but not limited to:

  • 116 grams of a substance believed to be raw fentanyl
  • 12 grams of a substance believed to be crystal meth
  • A cell phone
  • Digital scales
  • Pliers
  • ASP baton
  • Several edged weapons

The total approximate street value of seized drugs is $93,520.

The 37-year-old female was arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl and possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine. She attended Provincial Court today and was remanded into custody. Her next court appearance will be on April 30, 2026, for a bail hearing. 

The others were arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl, they were released with conditions and will appear in Provincial Court to answer to the charge on July 7, 2026.

The Integrated Enforcement Unit consists of police officers from the Saint John Police, Kennebecasis Regional Police Force, New Brunswick Justice and Public Safety, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
