The Saint John Police Street Crime Integrated Enforcement Unit (I.E.U.) have made three arrests following a 10-week drug trafficking investigation – Operation Snow.
On Thursday, January 11, 2024, the IEU with the assistance of Patrol Services arrested two women, 37 and 44 years old, and a 52-year-old man at a residence on Sandy Point Road for a combined total of over 40 drug trafficking, firearm, and weapon related offences.
As a result of the investigation, the following evidence was seized:
Substances believed to be:
- Cocaine: 288 grams
- Fentanyl: 251.52 grams
- Methamphetamine: 695.93 grams
- Hydromorphone: 14 pills
- Hydromorphone (shady 8’s): 400 pills
- Cocaine/Crack: 2.63 grams
Total approximate street value of drugs seized: $ 161,282.00.
- Canadian Currency: $8154.20
- 22 caliber handgun
- 22 caliber rifle
- Digital scales
- Cell phones
All three accused have been held in custody and they are scheduled to appear in court on Friday, January 12, 2024.
The Integrated Enforcement Unit (I.E.U.) consists of officers from the Saint John Police, Kennebecasis Regional Police Force, New Brunswick Justice and Public Safety and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Their mandate is to target drug trafficking, weapons and organized crime offences.
