Arrests in Drug Trafficking Investigation – Operation Tangent

The Saint John Police Street Crime Integrated Enforcement Unit (I.E.U.) have made three arrests in a drug trafficking investigation, Operation Tangent.
On Friday, November 3, 2023, IEU executed two warrants and seized evidence including, but not limited to:
27 cartons of illegal tobacco
15 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine
$7945 in Canadian currency
Drug trafficking paraphernalia
Two men, ages 40 and 45, and one 26-year-old woman were arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and possession of unlawful tobacco for the purpose of sale. The 40-year-old man was also arrested for possession of cocaine and possession of property obtained by crime. The 26-year-old woman was also arrested for the possession of property obtained by crime.
All three accused were released on undertakings to appear in court on February 22, 2024.
The Integrated Enforcement Unit (I.E.U.) consists of officers from the Saint John Police, Kennebecasis Regional Police Force, New Brunswick Justice and Public Safety and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
