Arrests in Drug Trafficking Investigation – Project Volcano

The Saint John Police Street Crime Integrated Enforcement Unit (I.E.U.) have made three arrests in an on-going drug trafficking investigation, Project Volcano.

Project Volcano began in May 2023 and focused on the trafficking of cocaine.

On Thursday, July 20, 2023, at approximately 9:30 a.m., two men, ages 46 and 31, and a 40-year-old woman were arrested for various drug trafficking related charges.

Following their arrests, search warrants were executed at three locations within Saint John. In total, the following evidence was seized:

Approximately 25, 000.00 in Canadian currency

Approximately 200 grams of cocaine

Approximately 200 various pills

The total approximate street value of seized drugs is $20, 000.00.

All three accused were held in custody and they are scheduled to appear in court on Friday, July 21, 2023.

The Integrated Enforcement Unit (I.E.U.) currently consists of officers from the Saint John Police, Kennebecasis Regional Police Force, New Brunswick Justice and Public Safety and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
