The Saint John Police Major Crime Unit is seeking witnesses to an assault that occurred in the area of Wright Street, north end Saint John on July 19, 2026.
It is reported that:
On Sunday, July 19, 2026, at approximately 2:47 p.m., the Saint John Police responded to a serious assault that occurred in the area of Wright Street.
Officers arrived to find a 42-year-old male, who had sustained serious injuries. The male was transported and remains in hospital in critical condition.
The Major Crime Unit and Forensic Services were called to investigate, and the investigation is ongoing.
At this point in the police investigation, it is believed to be an isolated incident.
Investigators are appealing for witnesses or anyone in the area that has photographs or video of the incident at the time it occurred.
