(ARRESTED) Break and Enter Investigation – Smash and Grab – King Street

Update: June 5, 2023, 3:54 p.m.

On Sunday, June 4, 2023, at approximately 4:27 a.m., officers arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with this incident.

On Monday, June 5, 2023, the accused appeared in court charged with break and enter. He was remanded into custody and he is scheduled to return to court on June 30, 2023.

The Saint John Police would like to thank the public for their assistance.

The suspect in the video has been identified. The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.

The Saint John Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a break and enter investigation.

It is reported that:

On Friday, May 19, 2023, at approximately 11:44 p.m., the Saint John Police responded to a break and enter in progress at a business in the 60-block of King Street.

The video https://youtu.be/NQpygZoaemo depicts the suspect committing a “smash and grab”.

A witness then chased the suspect up King Street until he turned right onto Charlotte Street. The suspect was never located again.
