The Saint John Police Force is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Edmond BABINEAU, 35, who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.
It is reported that:
On September 22, 2026, at approximately 2:33 p.m., police were notified that an apprehension and suspension warrant had been issued for Edmond Babineau for violating the conditions of his statutory release.
Babineau is described as 5’8” tall and 225 pounds with brown hair, a beard and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, dark ballcap, and jeans. He has a tattoo of a lion on his throat, a tattoo on his right forearm “Irish Fighter”, and on his left forearm of a shark. He was last seen in the area of Carleton Street in Saint John on September 22, 2026, in a dark colored Mazda 5 van with a roof rack.
Babineau is serving a sentence of three years, four months and five days for Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Assault – Intentional Use of Force, Mischief in Relation to Other Property, Failure to Comply with a Probation Order, and Possession of a Schedule III Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Police are warning the public to not approach the suspect. Anyone who sees Babineau or has information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Saint John Police Force at 506-648-3333.
