The Saint John Police is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Joseph Blanchard, 42, who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.
It is reported that:
On April 26, 2026, a warrant was issued for Joseph Blanchard for breaching the conditions of his statutory release as he failed to return to the Parrtown Community Correctional Centre in Saint John.
Blanchard is serving an aggregate federal sentence of 10 years, four months and 27 days for Robbery, Disguise with Intent, Fail to Comply with Probation Order, Possession of a Firearm Knowing Unauthorized, Possession of a Prohibited/Restricted Firearm with Ammunition, Possession of a Weapon Contrary to a Prohibition Order (x2), Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Under 5,000$, Possession of a Schedule I/II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Assault with a Weapon, Theft Under 5,000$ and Fail to Attend Court -Undertaking/Recognizance.
Blanchard is described as 5’6”, 140 lbs, brown hair, green eyes, with a long dark beard. He was last seen wearing a green and white ball cap, grey hooded sweatshirt, black pants with three white stripes along the sides, grey shoes with a red stripe, carrying an over-the-shoulder black bag, and black rectangular glasses. Blanchard has several tattoos, one of which is on the right side of his neck of a cross with lettering in a rectangle.
Police are warning the public to not approach the suspect. Anyone who sees Blanchard or has information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Saint John Police at 506-648-3333.
