Between May 25, 2023, and June 22, 2023, a total of 28 break and enters were reported to the Saint John Police.
The Saint John Police Crime Analyst reports that 26 break and enters were committed and 2 were attempted during this period; 6 were commercial, 5 were at construction sites, 5 were outbuildings (sheds/garages), and 12 were residential.

Tools are being targeted in many of these breaks. The Saint John Police are recommending the following proactive measures:
- Ensure valuables at construction sites and in outbuildings are securely stored;
- Install burglar alarms, surveillance cameras and additional lighting in strategic areas to deter criminals;
- Record serial numbers and mark valuables/ tools with distinguishing marks so they can be identified;
- Report any suspicious activity to the Saint John Police.
