Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision Highway #1 Westbound near the Tourist Bureau

The Saint John Police is requesting the public’s assistance with a collision investigation.

It is alleged that:

On Saturday, June 15, 2024, at approximately 10:07 a.m., emergency personnel responded to reports of a two-vehicle head-on collision involving a white Honda Civic and white Porche on Highway #1 westbound near the Tourist Bureau.

The white Honda Civic was traveling eastbound when it crossed the median and collided head on with the Porche. The two 67-year-old occupants of the Porche were transported to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The 21-year-old driver of the Honda Civic was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. He was pronounced deceased on June 16, 2024.

Detectives and Accident Reconstruction continue to investigate the cause of the collision.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses or anyone in the area that has dash-cam or video footage of the incident at the time it occurred.
