The Saint John Police proudly recognizes National Volunteer Week and celebrates the invaluable contributions of volunteers who help strengthen and support our community.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the many individuals who generously volunteer their time and skills in support of the Saint John Police, including:

  • Victim Services volunteers, who provide 24/7 critical support to individuals affected by traumatic events. These dedicated volunteers are available at a moment’s notice, offering compassion and assistance during some of life’s most difficult moments.
  • Auxiliary Police Officers, who volunteer their time to provide operational support to frontline members in patrol services and assist with numerous community events by providing operational support to our frontline members in patrol services and assist with numerous community events and initiatives.
  • Peer Support team members, who dedicate their time to supporting mental health and well-being of our officers and support staff. They regularly check in with members and provide vital assistance. Particularly following traumatic incidents.
  • Volunteers at the Saint John Police Museum, who help preserve and share the rich history of the Saint John Police, one of the oldest police forces in Canada.

We also recognize the many current and retired members and staff who have volunteered countless hours of their own time to make Saint John a better place.

“Volunteers are the heart of a strong community. Their compassion, commitment, and willingness to step forward in times of need inspire all of us. Here in Saint John, we are fortunate to have individuals who give so selflessly to support others and make a meaningful difference. Their contributions do not just support our daily operations—they help shape a safer, healthy, secure community.” Chief R.M. Bruce

Please join us in showing appreciation for the empathy, compassion and generosity of all volunteers who work tirelessly to make our community better.

Together a safe, secure, healthy community
