The Saint John Police Force is seeking the public’s assistance with the investigations of thefts of several bronze memorial plaques and to report any suspicious activity in and around cemeteries and monuments.
It is reported that:
On July 21, 2026, police responded to a call for service at approximately 9:00 a.m. regarding the theft of several memorial bronze plaques from various monuments from a cemetery on the east side of Saint John.
Anyone who has information regarding the suspect(s), including information on anyone attempting to sell bronze memorial plaques, is asked to contact the Saint John Police Force at 506-648-3333. Anonymous tips can be given to Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by submitting a secure web tip at Anonymous Tips – N.B.
