Police seeking public assistance in a mischief investigation

The Saint John Police are seeking information from the public in connection with damage caused to parking meters in the uptown area of Saint John.

It is alleged that:

On May 10, 2024, it was reported that between May 09, at 6:00 p.m., and May 10, at 3:00 p.m., several parking meters were vandalized on multiple streets in the uptown area.

Parking meters were damaged at the following locations:

-Old-style meter #18 across from 115 Charlotte St.
-Old-style meter #16 across from 115 Charlotte St.
-Old-style meter #1 by 115 Charlotte St.
-Double old-style meters #3 & #5 by 115 Charlotte St.
-Double old-style meters #4 & #6 beside Aquatic Centre on Union St.
-Pay by plate meter #7265 by 106 Princess St.
-Union Street near 76 Union, Meters #2, 12, 08, 10 and 18.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone in the area that has dash-cam, video surveillance, and/ or video footage of the incidents/ suspect(s) at the time it occurred.
