Recovered Bicycles by Police

Has your bicycle been recently lost or stolen?  Oftentimes, bicycles are recovered by police during investigations or are turned in by members of the public as found property.

The Saint John Police would like to reunite you with your property and ask that you call our Exhibits & Property Control Division at 506-648-3235 to inquire if your bicycle has been recovered by police. The process to get your bicycle returned is simple.  The more information you can provide is best, but a photo of distinguishing features or accessories of your bicycle would be acceptable to prove ownership.

The following are bicycle brands currently in the possession of the Saint John Police:

  • Rocky Mountain

  • Dahon

  • Bear Mountain

  • KONA Mountain

  • Kids Mavela KJ 18

As we approach World Bicycle Day on June 3, here are some tips to prevent bicycle thefts:

  • If possible, store your bicycle inside a secure area

  • Keep your bicycle in a well-lit, high-traffic area

  • Lock both wheels and frame to the rack with a strong lock

  • Secure bike components or remove them

  • Always keep a record of your bicycle’s serial number, a copy of your receipt, and photos of your bicycle or scooter as this will assist in identifying it if it becomes lost or stolen

Together a safe, secure, healthy community
