Robbery Investigation – McAllister Drive

The Saint John Police Major Crime Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in an armed robbery investigation.  

It is reported that: 

On Sunday, July 16, 2023, at approximately 10:06 p.m., the Saint John Police responded to an armed robbery at a bingo hall on McAllister Drive.  

A man described as in his thirties, heavy set, with a beard and dark clothing allegedly entered the bingo hall armed with a weapon and assaulted a 40-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman before leaving with a quantity of currency.  

Once outside, the suspect then allegedly assaulted another 37-year-old woman and stole a Hummer H3, which was later recovered by police on Charlotte Street West. 

No serious physical injuries were reported.  

The Major Crime Unit continues to investigate. At this time, no charges have been laid.  

Investigators are appealing for witnesses or anyone in the area that has dash-cam or video surveillance of the incident at the time it occurred.
