Shooting Investigation – Carmarthen Street

The Saint John Police Major Crime Unit are seeking witnesses and information in connection with an early morning shooting on Carmarthen Street.

It is reported that:

On Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at approximately 2:36 a.m., police responded to a report that someone was shot in the 100-block of Carmarthen Street.

On arrival, officers located a 33-year-old female who had allegedly been shot. She was transported to the Regional Hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening at this time.

No charges have been laid at this time as suspects have not yet been identified. The Major Crime Unit continues to investigate. This is believed to be an isolated incident. Investigators are appealing for witnesses or anyone in the area that has video footage or surveillance of the incident at the time it occurred.
