Stabbing Investigation – Jack Street/ Sandy Point Road Area

The Saint John Police are investigating following a report of stabbing in the area of Jack Street and Sandy Point Road.

It is reported that:

On Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at approximately 7:42 p.m., the Saint John Police responded to a report of a stabbing in the area of Sandy Point Road and Jack Street.

Officers arrived on scene and located a 34-year-old man who had sustained serious injuries. He was transported to and remains in hospital in critical condition.

The Major Crime Unit and Forensic Services were called to investigate. Detectives believe that this is an isolated incident. At this time, no arrests have been made.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses or anyone in the area of Jack Street and Sandy Point Road that has dash-cam or video surveillance of the incident at the time it occurred.

The Saint John Police would like to thank those who provided aid to the injured man before emergency crews arrived at scene.
