The Saint John Police welcomed six new auxiliary members on Thursday, July 10, 2025. The swearing in ceremony was held at Saint John Police Headquarters where the auxiliary members took the oath of office and the oath of secrecy.

This year, the Saint John Police reimagined its auxiliary program with the aim of placing greater emphasis on community engagement by having an auxiliary program that was two-tier; consisting of both uniform and non-uniform volunteers.

After undergoing rigorous training to prepare them for their roles in the community, our three new non-uniform auxiliary members are Jack Lobo, Brent Mercer, and Christiana Bradley-Ryan and our three new uniform auxiliary members are Nicolas Munn, Cory Ryan, and Thomas Sparks.

As an organization, we have high expectations of our newest members. We trust they will serve our community with the same standards of honour, pride, selflessness, courage, discipline, and accountability that the people of Saint John have come to expect.

The new auxiliary members will begin their duties effective immediately.

“The Saint John Police auxiliary members have and continue to play a significant role in our community engagement service delivery model.  Enhancing and enriching our city with pride, honour, commitment, and selfless dedication through their sincere sense of volunteerism.  They will make a real difference in our organization and community.” Chief R. M. Bruce
