The Saint John Police Force is celebrating its 175th anniversary this year. The Saint John Police Force was established in 1849, making it one of the oldest police forces in Canada.

Over the years, the Saint John Police has tailored its response to the ever-changing needs of the community through advancements in policing practices and constant community engagement. This involves adopting new technologies and procedures to better serve and protect the citizens of our city. For 175 years, the members Saint John Police have served and continue to serve the community by demonstrating resilience and adaptability in the face of adversity.

As the Saint John Police Force celebrates its heritage and accomplishments, it remains dedicated to its mission of providing policing services to those who live, work, and visit the city, by engaging with the community, upholding the law, and preserving public safety.
