The Saint John Police Major Crime Unit have arrested a 63-year-old man in connection with a break and enter into a business on April 21, 2023.
It was previously reported that:
On Friday, April 21, 2023, at approximately 9:58 p.m., police responded to a break and enter in progress at a business in the 30-block of Duke Street in the South End.
The owner called 911 after he was remotely alerted by video surveillance that were at least two people inside his business. Police arrived to find that the suspects had fled and items were missing from the business.
The suspect in surveillance photographs released by the Saint John Police on April 24, 2023, was identified.
On Wednesday, June 21, 2023, the Major Crime Unit arrested the suspect without incident and he was released on an undertaking to appear in court on September 19, 2023.
At this time, no other arrests have been made.
