On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, the accused was arrested in Moncton and remains in custody.

The Saint John Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Oneil Alexander Morgan wanted for robbery.

It is alleged that:

On Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a 30-year-old woman had confronted a man leaving a security locked building on Prince Edward Street.

The woman took a photo of the man using her cell phone to alert her landlord. The suspect then assaulted the woman and stole her phone.

The suspect left in a black sports utility vehicle. The victim sustained non-life-threatening physical injuries.

As a result of further investigation by the Major Crime Unit, the suspect has since been identified as Oneil Alexander Morgan AKA Omar, 47 years old.

Detectives have made numerous attempts to locate the accused who is originally from Ontario. He is described as 5’9”, 210 lbs, black hair and brown eyes. He has scars on his right forearm, left forearm, and on the left side of his face.

On Thursday, November 23, 2023, a warrant for his arrest was issued.
