The Office of the Chief of Police is responsible for the overall management, supervision, and direction of all police operations within the City of Saint John. It sets policy, develops and implements strategies for crime prevention and control, and ensures that police personnel are properly trained and equipped to carry out their duties.

The Chief of Police is also responsible for ensuring that the Saint John Police complies with all relevant laws and regulations. The Office of the Chief of Police strives to ensure that the public is served in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner, and that all members of our community are treated fairly and justly.
