Polygraph

The Polygraph Section of the Major Crime Unit is responsible for conducting polygraph tests. Polygraph examinations are used to assess the truthfulness and accuracy of a person’s statements by measuring physiological reactions, such as heart rate, respiration, and skin conductivity.

The Polygraph Section works closely with the investigative team to determine the best course of action for each case and to ensure that the results of the tests are accurately interpreted and reported. The polygraph examiner must keep up to date with new technologies and techniques in order to ensure that the results of the tests are reliable and accurate.
