The Saint John Police has a shared services agreement with the City of Saint John to supply and maintain our Information Technology needs. The Saint John Police Manager of Information Systems works closely with the City of Saint John to provide the technology infrastructure needed to support the organization’s operations.
This includes providing and maintaining hardware and software systems, as well as networks, telecommunication systems, and data storage solutions. It also involves supporting the IT needs of individual police officers and staff, such as providing access to online databases and other electronic resources.
Additionally, IT is responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of the police force’s data, as well as implementing and managing security measures to protect the force’s data from unauthorized access.
Finally, IT staff members are also responsible for providing educational and training resources to officers and staff to ensure that they are properly using the technology resources available to them.
