The Saint John Police Street Crime Integrated Enforcement Unit (I.E.U.) have made an arrest in a drug trafficking investigation.
Information received led to an investigation into the trafficking of controlled drugs a couple of weeks ago.
On Thursday, September 25, 2025, police arrested a 48-year-old female who was out on parole in Saint John.
The arrest resulted in the seizure of:
- Cocaine – 7.84 grams (estimated street value of $784)
- Crack cocaine – 1.30 grams (estimated street value of $130)
- Canadian Currency – $420
- Scales
- Baking soda
- Cell phone
The female was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, proceeds of crime, and a warrant of apprehension and suspension for her parole was subsequently issued and executed.
She is scheduled to appear in Court today, September 26, 2025, to answer to the current charges and will be returning to Nova Institution.
The Integrated Enforcement Unit (I.E.U.) currently consists of officers from the Saint John Police, Kennebecasis Regional Police Force, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and New Brunswick Justice and Public Safety.
