Arrest in Intimate Partner Violence Investigation

The Saint John Police have made an arrest in relation to an incident of intimate partner violence. 

It is alleged that: 

On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at approximately 9:45 p.m., police responded to a 911 call on Harrington Street. A 26-year-old female stated she was assaulted by her 25-year-old boyfriend. 

Patrol members immediately began to search the area attempting to locate the suspect. 

At 10:00 p.m., police stopped a vehicle on the lower west side and located the suspect. The suspect was arrested without incident.  

Incident to arrest, police located and seized the following; 2 baggies containing cocaine, a loaded berretta handgun and scales. The estimated street value of the cocaine is $13, 900. 

The suspect was held in custody and appeared in court on October 16, 2025, and was subsequently remanded until October 30, 2025. 

He has been charged with the following: 

  • Assault, section 266 (a) CCC 
  • Assault, choke, section 267 (c) CCC 
  • Fail to comply with an order, section 811.CCC 
  • Possession of firearm while prohibited, section 117.01CCC 
  • Possession of a weapon dangerous for purpose dangerous to public peace, section 88(2) (a) CCC 
  • Carry a concealed weapon, beretta handgun, section 90 (2)(a) CCC 
  • Possession of a restricted weapon without being a holder of a licence, section 91(2) CCC 
  • Occupant of a motor vehicle in which he knew there was a firearm, section 94 (1) CCC 
  • Possess a loaded restricted firearm, section 95 (2) (a) CCC 
  • Possession for th epurpose of trafficking cocaine, section 5 (3) (a) CDSA 
  • Utter threats, section 264.1 (1) (a) CCC
