The Saint John Police have made an arrest in relation to a murder investigation.
It is alleged that:
On May 14, 2024, at approximately 10:58 a.m. police responded to a call of a deceased person found inside a residence in the 650-block of Brunswick Drive in Saint John.
As a result of the postmortem report and the investigation lead by the Major Crime Unit, it was determined that the death was a homicide and that the victim and suspect were known to each other.
On October 2, 2025, a 51-year-old male was arrested by the Saint John Police and charged with manslaughter.
On October 3, 2025, the male attended court where he was released on conditions and will be re-appearing on October 31, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. for election.
