The Saint John Police have made an arrest in relation to a stabbing investigation.
It is alleged that:
On October 22, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m. police responded to a call of a stabbing in the area of Coburg Street in Saint John.
Prior to police arrival, officers were informed that the 49-year-old male victim had gone to the hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening stab wound. The victim has since been released from the hospital.
On October 22, 2025, at approximately 8:40 p.m. a 23-year-old male was arrested by the Saint John Police for aggravated assault and held in custody. Police believe this to be an isolated incident.
The suspect will appear in court on October 23, 2025, to answer to the charge in connection with this incident.
The Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Services continue to investigate.
