Halloween 2025 – Safety Tips

Share:

With Halloween just around the corner, the Saint John Police have a few reminders for those who will be trick or treating to ensure a fun and safe evening:

  • Plan your route.
  • Stay on one side of the road.
  • Wear bright colors and/or add reflective tape to costumes.
  • Watch for children walking on roadways, medians, and curbs.
  • Enter and exit driveways and alleyways slowly.
  • Accompany small children to doors.
  • Older children should be encouraged to travel in groups.
  • Inspect all candy before consumption.

Halloween is a fun time for children and children at heart. If you will be attending Halloween festivities, please be responsible and do not drive while impaired.

As always, the Saint John Police will be patrolling the city during Halloween. We encourage the public to contact police on the non-emergency line at 506-648-3333 should they see something concerning or to dial 911 in an emergency.

Together a safe, secure, healthy community
