Saint John Major Crime unit have made an arrest in relation to this murder investigation that began on September 03, 2025. A 42-Year-old male is currently in custody and will appear in provincial court this afternoon.

On Wednesday, September 03, 2025, at approximately 10:47 p.m., the Saint John Police responded to a 911 call at a residence on Carleton Street in Saint John.
Officers arrived and located an unconscious 34-year-old male who had sustained serious injuries. Officers immediately rendered first aid to the victim. Additional emergency responders attended to assist, but unfortunately, the victim was pronounced deceased.
This is an active and ongoing investigation. At this time in the investigation, police believe this is an isolated incident. No arrests have been made at this time.
Saint John Police Forensic Identification Services and the Major Crime Unit in cooperation with the Coroner’s Office continue to investigate. Police remain on scene as officers continue to collect evidence.
The Saint John Police offer condolences to the family and friends of the deceased during this most difficult time.
