The Saint John Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a stolen vehicle and in identifying a possible suspect.
It is alleged that:
On Saturday, August 9, 2025, at approximately 3:45 p.m., an 84-year-old male was in his vehicle, a 2014, 4-door, silver Honda Accord with New Brunswick license plate JGV066, in the parking lot of Lancaster Mall, when he was approached by a male indicating to him that his vehicle had a flat tire. The elderly male exited his vehicle while it was still running to check his tire when the suspect entered the driver side and drove away. The victim was injured as he attempted to stop the suspect by grabbing a hold of the car door and was drug several feet before letting go.
The suspect was described as approximately 5’7” feet tall, 180 lbs, tanned complexion, 30 to 35 years old with scruff on his face.
Investigators are appealing for witnesses or anyone in the area that has video surveillance of the incident at the time it occurred.
